This thread is a few years old now but here is the stone in question from Muiravonside parish churchyard. It's a beautiful example of the mason's craft and there are many more like it in this tiny burial ground.
I am researching the Binnie family from there and have pictures of most of the Binnie stones, from both the churchyard and the cemetery next to it.

Hi again,

My late mother in law (as afore mentioned) is a descendent of this family.  i am led to believe that there alot of family history already around for the Nimmo family.

This memorial was cleaned a year ago by a local stonemason on behalf of a Mr Nimmo.  There was another memorial cleaned at the same time, however is became blackened instead of turning out like this one.

Hi

This site may help:

http://www.memento-mori.co.uk/

It contains info on tombstones in the Stirlingshire area. (grandsable and Polmont are both Polmont areas)

Thanks
