Marriage Lookup-Chaney

Looking for the marriage of Francis Chaney & Sarah ? Francis was born in 1775 in Rochester,Kent and baptised at St Margaret's. I have done a search on CityArk without success. Francis Chaney is my 5th Great Grandfather.

Which parishes did you check on cityark whilst looking for the marriage?

Have you seen that another Rootschatter has Francis in his tree - with mention of him marrying Sarah NORRIS?  Perhaps he has some details of marriage

Hi Michelle

I've got the Medway Marriage Index. It only goes up to 1812, & doesn't give much detail, but there's four marriages about the right timescale.
At least it gives you another parish to check.

Thank you both very much for the information. I have since found several other records. I am now looking for marriages for Jacob Chaney,Edmond John Chaney,William Thomas Chaney.All were born in St Nicholas,Rochester.

The writing on the marriage entry is not easy to read but I think Sarah's maiden name was NORRIS not NOVIS.
