Hope someone out there can help me with some look ups please.

I have the Norris family in 1881 census LDS RG11 5316/71 page 37 at 10 Pant Road Merthyr Tydfil

Members

Eliza Norris 53 born Llanidloes
James Norris 28 the rest born Dowlais Glam
Thomas Norris 28
Andrew Norris 14
Sarah Ann Norris 13
Matilda Jane Norris 10

Would like to find these people in the above census returns if possible.

Hi Janet,
Are you sure the surname is Norris?  On the 1881 and particularly the 1891 censuses it appears to be Morris.  Freebmd doesn't have a birth reference for an Andrew Norris in Glamorgan, but does have an Andrew Morris born 1866 with a Merthyr registration.
The enumerator's handwriting in 1871 is virtually illegible.  The family are in Merthyr, but I can't make out the address.  Family mambers not included in 1881 are father, James aged 44, born Radnorshire and sons, Richard aged 17, John aged 10 and another son ? David aged ?12.

In 1891 the family are at 10 Pant Rd., Merthyr.  In addition to mother Elizabeth, are sons James & Andrew, daughter, Sarah and a nephew called Richard aged 11 along with a niece called Martha aged ?

Oh Ok will have to look at that before I write it off - did the wife come from Llanidloes on the other census returns (eliza)?

Place of birth is given as Montgomeryshire in 1871 and as Llanidloes, N. Wales in 1891.  She is recorded as Elizabeth in both these censuses.

1881 census age of Thomas is mistranscribed -he is 18,not 28 and the address is Pant Rd , Hamlet of Heolworno?d, Dowlais

it is transcribed as Morris -but could be norris or morris on the image-so i won't post surname
