I'm trying to find details of William Attwood. His son was Alfred William and my grandfather. I have him mentioned in the 1881 census in Princess St. Alf lived in Princess St, Maidenhead after WW1.
Any ideas?

I'm afraid there isn't enough data in your post   ???

If you have William in 1881 in Princes Street  -   can you give the census reference?   or at least the town ?   and possibly William's age or year of birth   :D    And Alfred's year of  birth   ???  :D

Name and street is not really enough to work with   :D

Sorry, should have said it's Maidenhead. Ref RG11 1314/34 page 28
William Attwood was born in 1864
Alf was born in 1886

This seems a possible for their marriage:

ON the IGI there is a marriage Henry Attwood and Sarah Ann Bedford 
7 September 1843 St. Leonards, Shoreditch

William George Attwood birth reg. Wycombe district Q2. 1864 Vol.3a  Pg. 430

William's birth certificate will confirm Sarah's maiden name and thus the marriage (or not ! )

In 1871 Eliza seems to have a suname Etherington, and to be a step-daughter; I cannot explain this   ???

In 1881 Sarah is a widow.

whilst looking for that I also noticed :

Thank you so much for this. I had trouble finding them  - the Allwood bit would have stumped me!
If you can get Annies parents etc that would be good. I have a very old photo of her - my mum told me years ago that she lived in Boyn Hill.
