Florence Peacock/Livingstone
« on: Tuesday 02 September 08 21:19 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me trace my Grandma's sister Florence Lester's family. She married Joseph Peacock in England in 1919 and then emigrated to Australia with him, he was in the autralian army during WW1. She parted from him and married Mick Livingstone who was the manager of a gold mine in New Guinea. Her last address was Moorookbark, Victoria.
She had 2 children Agnes & Nancy. Agnes Hurst had a daughter Bette O'brien last known living in O'connor, ACT in 1988.
I know Florrie died in 1982

You may like to read Joseph Edward PEACOCK's WW1 Service Record - it has been digitised.   States he wasn't married to his 'wife' Minnie, named on enlistment in 1916.

Details of his marriage to Florence Agnes LESTER in August 1919.

Thanks for all this most useful information, it's a lot to take in and adds a lot to my family tree. What I would love to do is find a living relative so is there anyway to come forward in time to find out what happened to Bette O'brien. Did she get married? and could there be any children. I know it's a long shot but is it possible to look up marriages in the Hackett, ACT area.
I've also been told Nancy had 2 children John & Arthur Hurst, can anyone find any info on them. My last address for them is Sydney.
