Not getting any more from the IGI to help prove if Thomas and William were brothers ... tracked Thomas back to 1861 newly married in Heston (Hounslow area), so I'd suggest getting his marriage Cert to establish his fathers name and see if that helps at all on the 1851 and 1861 census ...

Blimey! You have all been busy! Thank you so much. It's all rather confusing. I know Betsey was married before to Henry Brown, neither do we don't think William was ever registered when he was born hence no birth entry anywhere and I suppose they wouldn't be able to marry if he had no birth certificate. I'm hoping one day to tie in with any decendents of their children - It's just finding them!!!!!!!

Debbi hi,  I need to have a good read of this thread to try to understand the full story but, in the meantime have a look at

http://www.markpepall.plus.com/p924.htm

one William Presbrey Bradbury (1842-1890), son of my husbands 3rd great grand aunt Sarah Pepall (1804-1888)

Let me know if you find anything that does not tie in with what you know about your William and I'll get back to you when I have followed this thread from the beginning.

Chris
