Hello Marshall,

The printing of race cards springs to mind immediately but the Local and Family History Library page doesn't mention such things.

They have a collection of guide books dating from 1781, newspapers from 1809 as well
as annuaries and street directories from 1837.

Hi Marshall,

The printing works in Oxford Passage was I believe started and run by Thomas Willey who was a Chartist of some renown.

After Willey's death it was run by Thomas HAILING who was the older brother of my great grandmother Unity Hailing.  Thomas was born c 1831. Thomas was his nephew.

I'm not sure whether you are still around as this posting is some months old but if you are I would be happy to share whatever I have.  With which line of Hailings are you connected?

Joan

Well, well well..........If you are descended from Unity then I can confirm that we ARE definately related !!!!!  I am descended from George Francis Harry Hailing, who was the youngest of the family including Thomas and Unity.   :D
If you want to compare notes, then don't be shy, say hello.  I have already sent you a private message with my Email address.
