Well, not all THAT familiar with the area, though I was born in Tottenham but was adopted from there at an early age during the war

Drake, Blackhall, Roney, Lovell.  Parry, Edwards,  Pardoe, Braun/Brawn/Bryan, all in Bethnal Green, Stepney, Whitechapel, Mile End, Tottenham, Palmers Green and Edmonton area.

A general rule in genealogy is to NEVER ASSUME.

If someone had a birth registered in Jan-Mar then they could have been born in November or December the previous year.

I guess another line of enquiry could be baptisms.  If you find one you are not looking for then you can eliminate them from your enquiries.
