Hi Eion

Is there not a full address on the death certificate?

Have you enquired at the local library in the area?

Hi there

Only just spotted your request for info on Barchester Towers.

Yes, it is a home for handicapped and elderly folks on De Cham Road.

Will go and take Digital Picture of it if you like as my mum (aged 83) lived on De Cham Road a couple of years ago (now in Old Hastings House)

Hello Chris,
Noted that u probably live nr Eastbourne (hopefully) re Sanitoriums, do u know of one at 123 Church St. Eastbourne, My grandfather died there of heart disease in Dec 1930, but he lived at 76 Pevensey Road, Eastbourne. There was no PM so he must have stayed there to be treated.  He was a Commissionaire and his name was Herbert William Sennitt.  Hope u can help.
Regards Margaret.

Hi Margaret

In 1947 it appears to have been known as St Marys Hospital and was previously the Eastbourne Union Workhouse.
