death and marriage- ARNOL/POOL

Hello all,

I'm trying to verify a death for William ARNOL, husband of Elizabeth POOL. I have the 1841 census with them living at Hamlet of Cutsdean, Worcester with William's occupation looking like "hatter"? The 1851 census has them living in the village of Cutsdean, with Elizabeth listed as Head and a widow.

Would anyone be willing to look for his death for me please? Their last child was born in 1845 in Cutsdean.

As to their marriage date  - their first child, William was born 1833 also born in Cutsdean.

Hi,

It would appear Cutsdean was in Gloustershire at the time of the marriage.

Its prob been transcribed as Arnold - altho there are no Williams regd Winchcombe district  1841-51

ARNOL/ARNOLD/ARNAL...all variations so far. Wonder we he could be then. Then person I got the information from thinks he may have immigrated to Australia prior to his wife and children - I don't know the date of this yet but have found a 1951 and 1954 free settler record for a William Arnol to Tasmania, but if that was the case - why would Elizabeth be listed as widow on 1851 census?

i also am looking for william arnold/arnol birth 1833 he married 1863 richmond tasmania.  he marry a ellen denley they had 8 children ..cant find this ones birth place thou..and he is my ggg grand father on mothers side ..i am just wondering if we are looking at same person hear ??

Hiya,

I'm not sure.... I do know that my William ARNOL was alive in 1841 but not 1851 due to his wife being listed as a Widow. This is why I am trying to find a death registration between those years.

Another researcher in Tas thinks he immigrated before his family to Tasmania but again there is no proof of that without immigration records. Maybe a lookup of the 1861 census to see if wife Elizabeth Arnol (Poole) is still around or not - would anyone with access to that particular census be able to do that please? Children were William, George, Sarah Emma and John.

Your ggg grandfather is the son William, who I have listed as married to Ellen DANIHEA 13 Apr 1863 - this I got from another researcher in Tasmania, so I'll ask where she got that piece of information from. So now you have his birth place and parents names and marriage date plus siblings. The extracted record says his parents were married in Cutsdean, Worchester, England and the 1841 and 185 census has him living in Cutsdean and working as a agricultural labourer.

elizabeath was born 1803 died 1870 spring bay tas .william and eliz had son ,william and george in england    .sarah, emma,john prob in tassy,    then william had married ellen denley    had amy, elizabeth, sarah, john , william, george,    timothy also know has edward,      julia.  Timothy aslo had son george who married my mums mum grandma ....so i am  very sure u are looking UP MY FAMILY .....and bye way the d got droped off the name too///
