Burto,

Thanks, I have seen it. However, I haven't ever worked out how to read half of what is on it. Much of it is too late for me but I would like to be able to read the information posted by Alison but it is too unclear on the screen and very small but when I try to print it out it is enormous and I only get a piece of the page.

My 6xg grandmother b 1721 was a Brentnall and I have her family for two generations further back to a Samuel b. 1650 in Shipley. If you think there could be any link with your Brentnalls do let me know and I'll send further details. Most of the family farmed in South Derbyshire/Notts/N. Leics area.

Did you know that you can change the size of a page you are reading by holding down the CTRL key and moving the wheel on the mouse?

Sue

Hi Sue,

Thank-you. No I didn't. I've just looked at it and it worked! Can see my Brentnalls there but it doesn't seem to go any further back than we had already. However I expect there may well be the odd bit of information we haven't got. It's good though to see 6xg uncle George's record confirmed.

Now I must go back to work and resist the temptation to read everything there now!

Thanks again
Brie

Hello there, I'd be most interested to hear about the Mapperley village history project too. This is on behalf of my wife, who has 'Bardill' and 'Spendlove' ancestors from there. We're local and have been in the Black Horse at Mapperley a few times, always been intrigued by the framed old photographs on the walls, I assume they're local? Know anything about them?

All the best,

Nick Miller.
