If this is Crossthwaite cum Lyth then the parish records are on the IGI on www.familysearch.org    Have you checked that?  It is a first port of call for all of us.  There is a William son of John and Margaret but the baptism is earlier than you quote.   In 1821.   (I assume you mean baptism not date of birth or do you have that in fact?)     If you click on the batch number at the bottom of that record and put in Bell and father John it brings up various other children who are probably siblings of that William.    Unfortunately Bell is an extremely common name in that area so if you have more details it may help.  Witnesses at the marriage?  Have you found William in 1851 or later?    Can you quote that?

andrea,thank you for you  info. only witnesses on marriage cerf is john bell father and margrets fathe john robinson. i got birthdate info from robinson family tree.as for family search no birthdate for john  or other children and only wifes first name as margaret. how do i known if my birthdate was wrong and this is my william. he owned a farm in crosthwaite ,he was a yeoman and married margaret in 1859 then came to usa and had first child in 1860.

Unfortunately any infomation on the web is only as good as the person who put it on so you should always check everything with the original source.  In this case it will be the parish register for Crosthwaite.  You can order the film to search at your nearest LDS Family History Centre.  They are worldwide and listed on familysearch.org   Then you will see burials as well as marriages and baptisms.  Many a tree been founded on someone who died when they were an infant!
Do you have a copy of the church register for the marriage in 1859 or a certificate from the GRO?   In any case it should give an age for William.   Does that tie in with your "birth" date?    Often the witnesses are not parents so it is a pity if the two fathers signed the register.    He is actually very old to be marrying for the first time in 1859 if your birth is correct.    Are you sure he owned a farm??    Where is the proof?  What did he call his children in the USA?   They may well have family names.   When did he die?  Age at death?
All these facts help to build up the picture.
Did you manage to see the other children of John and Margaret on the IGI?  Click on the batch number at the bottom of the record for William that I gave you then fill in the search box.  One of them had a middle name which may well be his mother's maiden name - though that is just guess work at present.

I see that you may be basing your information on a member submitted tree to the IGI.  That is always risky.   The marriage in 1859 was registered in the Ulverstone registration district.  That is Cumberland not Westmorland so that threw me for a bit.  The bride is Margaret Blades Robinson.  According to the submitted entry she was born in 1838 in Bootle and William was born "about" the same year in Crosthwaite.  Some of this may be pure guess work.

If William was born c1838 then there is another family with father Joseph that he might belong to.  Could it say Jos rather than John?  Have you got their emigration details?

no i do not ship info . the only thing is i have their marriage cerf 4-1869 and their first son was born in  1860 in illinois in usa. the robinson her maiden name  gave me birth date of 11-4-1823 for him and 1837 for her

One of the problems here may be that there are several places called Crosthwaite in England.  If you have his birth date from his son's birth certificate that is a good source.
