Thanks Adam,

I appreciate you have just transcribed what is there, just thought I would mention it so if anyone else sees it they don't get the runaround that i did when I first tried to sort them out.

I've never been able to make my mind up why the dates are wrong on the stone ie did their daughter mix them up or did the stone mason get it wrong. Still I guess it doesn't matter now.

I appreciate the time you took to do the transcriptions as I am sure many others do to.

David
James Stott c1775-1850. James was born in Yorkshire but where? He was a stonemason and married Elizabeth Archer (nee Nicholson) in 1794 at Ripon. They lived thereafter in Masham. If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.

Hello Joy. Yes there are about 14 altogether and that includes about 12 from the Baptist Chapel ( that I have now completed.)
If you look at the posts you will see that there are a few requests for various inscriptions so I will put you in the queue if you want them.

Hi Adam
Thanks so much for that, they are most certainly mine. The last one i have is Richard Morgan married Ann Naisby at Hamsterley in 1777. So maybe one of them is his parents. Will have to go to Durham to check the records out
Thanks again it has given me something to work on
