David Cordiner-possible Amble connection.
« on: Saturday 23 August 08 07:33 BST (UK) »
Could anyone help me to trace any information about David Cordiner please? He might have lived in the Amble area shortly after the war.
A family story is that he died shortly after 1945 in an accident.
Also that he might have been a member of the Canadian Air Force.
Thank you for any help or advice.

Hello - I think he might have been born in 1918.
He might be the s/o David G. Cordiner and Edith M. Corner who married at S.Shields in 1910.
My cousin has a photograph of him in what looks like RAF uniform.
It is possible he died in an accident shortly after the war - its a family story only.

You are Correct David Cordiner born in april 1918 mothers maiden name was Corner, he was born in South Sheilds. I can not find any more information on him, I will check the Army details on him to see if he was enlisted in the WW2.

David G Cordiner' parents are Alexander and Georgina Garton, David was born in 1882.
I have all the details on Alex and Georgina should you need them.
