I am trying to find out information about Walter C selby the C could stand for cutler but not sure. He was born in gainsborough and at the age of 18 he was working as a boiler maker. He had 2 other brothers George who was born in leics loughborough and  also arthur. george was the oldest. Walters parents were William cutler selby and clara tyler.Walter was born abt, 1883.

also how could i find out where people who were boiler makers worked???

I have found out that his name is Walter cutler selby and he married GERTRUDE FOSTER june qtr 1902, and that they had a son named walter born 30 july 1903 and died the 27 aug,1903 at 28 days old. If anyone can add any other information it would be appreciated.

I think the main boiler makers in Gainsborough would be Marshalls who made traction engines.

If you Google

Marshall Gainsborough

you should find something.

I,d like to add that WALTER CUTLER SELBY and GERTRUDE FOSTER may of had another son named ARTHUR CUTLER SELBY born 1902, it makes sense as they married in 1902.
