John Gover POWELL - Burton, Somerset

I'm trying to trace the baptism of John Gover Powell who was born circa 1780/2 in Burton, although he married and lived in Bristol most of his life.

I have traced him to the 1841/51 census and have his marriage and death dates but am unable to progress him further.

Any help would be appreciated.

i believe you mean bruton not burton?

Hi Alli

The 1851 census states place of birth as Burton, Somerset which I found on the map. That said, it could also be Bruton if there was a description error!!!!
