1851-1861 lookup please

Can anybody please help me find an EDWARD YOUNGMAN FOX born about 1820 in Gresham. I know of 2 daughters, one named MARY ANN YOUNGMAN FOX born about 1843 in Gresham and SUSAN PINSON YOUNGMAN FOX born about 1847 in Bodham. Edward's wife died in 1847 but I do not know if he remarried. Thanks

Perhaps he had died by 1851 as well.

His daughters were living with their grandparents (HO107/1809) as Ann and Susan Youngman.

In 1861 he is living as Edward Youngman (RG9/1184). I can post details if you want.

And I have now found him in 1851 (HO107/1809) indexed as Yangman.

He appears to have died in Dec1877; I leave you to find him in 1871.

It looks as if Mary Ann was living with, and working for her grandparents; her father and sister were visiting at the time of the census, leaving stepmother and stepbrothers behind.

There are possible Edward Youngman/Harriet Willer marriages in Dec 1851 and Mar 1852.

Where did the Fox name come from?

Hi Richard,
Thank you for sending all of the information, sorry it has taken so long to reply. I have been going through all my records to see if I can find who it was who sent me the information that said that the name FOX was relevant.  I know they sent lots of names and dates because they had been researching the same lines and they said that it was a really mixed up family but I am now wondering if they had it all wrong, I am going to keep looking.
I think I will have to also go through the birth records to see if the daughters were registered as Youngmans. I'll let you know.
