Policemen Name List in Aberlour area
« on: Monday 18 August 08 20:59 BST (UK) »
Hi can anyone help me trace my Fathers, Father? My Father (Albert)was born in 11 High Street in Aberlour in 1930. His Mother was Jamesina Kinnaird and he was adopted approx. 6 months later. I have no info on his Father apart from he was associated with the police force and possibly moved down to Glasgow. Jamesina married Peter Stronach about 1932. Can anyone help on Names of Policeman in the Aberlour area about 1930? Or any info on Jamesina?

Hi and welcome to Rootschat  :)

I've found an entry for Jamesina in http://libindx.moray.gov.uk/mainmenu.asp

It gives her parents names as William Kinnaird and Margaret Cameron, and the date and place of her death. Also, where she was buried. There is a rather lengthy entry for William too. Copies from the newspaper can be ordered online for £1 a go but probably the obituary mentioned in William's entry would be the most informative and worth getting.

Click on the "People search" button on the left of the page and put the names in.
For the shop, click "online shop" and then "Request archived copies" on the left hand side.

Found this too...http://www.strathclyde.police.uk/index.asp?docID=271
