You have James John heading your first post, he obviously was christened with two names, have you looked for his death under John Lynes, obviously that is the name he preferred?

A James Lynes was buried in Bristol aged 54 in March Quarter 1926 which would just about fit the bill, if you don't know where he died or lived it may be worth looking it up as there were not that many about with that name/

Michael
He was born in 1869 under Lines same district as his brother and sister. So you need to be looking for deaths that correspond with this year.
Have you got a death cert for Doreen Sweeney which may move you forward?

According to The History of Warwickshire Cricket Club he was born at Coleshill on 6-6-1872.
That differs from your version Steve but fits exactly the death I found in Bristol!
Incidentally the cricket club records show death unknown.

I've done a lot of research on this family and have the birth cert that matches the father and mother that Michael has.
The historian who found the date made a mistake, hard to find a birth on BMD in 1872 for James in Coleshill. There are several errors on that website with dates.

Obviously I must bow to your knowledge on that one Steve, to be honest I thought Warwickshire would have the official records of his contract details which would include his dob but we must assume not.
I still think the death in Bristol is well worth a look.

Warwickshire have no records apart from scorebooks before WW2. The club also do not have anyone with any knowledge of history in their employ.
