i dont know if any one can help, i have my grandmother born 27 high street linlithgow 1907,does any body know if this was a shop and what the shop sold,her father was a potter so i wondered if he sold his pottery in the shop,many thanks

I don't think it would have been a shop - in 1901 there are 8 separate families living at 27 High Street, Linlithgow.

Linlithgow is very close to where I live, High Street is indeed a shopping street and this address could very well have been a shop. and may still be so. I will have a look for you and take a photo.
