oh wait, there they are! Transcribed on ancestry.com as "Cowdall"

I found Margaret in the General cemetery in Shrewsbury. I put the photo on the Find a grave site Memorial ID 272226548 Margaret Cowdell Davies https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/272226548/margaret_davies Her husband John Davies was a glass painter who had a shop at 73 Wyle Cop in Shrewsbury

Just thinking about place names. There is a small village called Marton halfway between Chirbury and Worthen on the B4386 (52.616237256079216, -3.0531225185744693).

It is close enough to the Welsh border (about 1 mile) to be moved between Shropshire and Montgomeryshire over the years in documents.
