Hi all,

Just thought I'd explain something. (I had a comment made to me which I felt warranted a wee response).

Essentially, what I want to say is....I hope no-one thinks I'm trying to take over the organisation of "The Meet".  I'm not.

Sybil and I have exchanged a few emails about it.  I'm in Glasgow so it seems to make sense that I try to help out, if I can.  Syb isn't in Glasgow.

Whilst the weekend is very much Sybil's cookie, she asked me to watch the board while she is on holiday.  All the venues are Sybil's ideas and she is co-ordinating everything.  An 'off board' conversation I had with her has been about the best time / place to meet on the Saturday.  Sybil will let us all know in due course.

The suggestions of an evening meal or lunch on Sunday are my own thoughts and nothing to do with the 'official' organisation of the weekend.

As I said in an earlier post....
Sybil is on holiday so we can't make a decision.  However, it would be nice to get opinions for her return.

Hope you all know where I'm coming from (I don't mean Glasgow  ;D).

Dave

As a member of last year's outing I can thoroughly reccommend Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery asI spent all day Sunday there and can say it's the finest gallery / museum I have ever visited ...simple stunning ! Sadly there is a chance  I may not be able to make it this year due to a few last minute problems that have arisen ...it all really depends on some hospital dates  but if I can I will ...We had a great time last year...It's a beautiful building both outside and in...

Thanks Dave, venues sound really good. I see the Hunterian has the biggest collection of Rennie Mackintosh and Whistlers in the world! Feast for art lovers.

Hi Dave

You're doing a grand job minding the shop whilst our wee Sybil is off in the sun.

I'd prefer meal Saturday night than a long lunch Sunday cos we have to drive back to Yorkshire Sunday but easy about where - we'll eat anything!

looking forward to it
