Help needed reading name on 1851 census
« on: Tuesday 12 August 08 17:00 BST (UK) »
Hi, can anyone give a guess at the fourth name down? It's transcribed as Abia, and certainly looks like that, but I can't find any birth for an Abia Cartwright, and she doesn't show up on any future census, or death records.
The spelling is quite bad, as the other names are Thomas, Louisa and Silvanus, but if this is a spelling mistake, I can't think what else it might be ???
