Thanks for that. I've just tried that and there's no records.

The child was born around 1878 and is listed on the 1881 census as Monnie, but no birth with that name.

Can you find her with another first name on 1891 census?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I can't seem to find any of the family in 1891 sadly. I was hoping to find out what Monnie would have been then search again using her proper name.

Might be an avenue to put aside for now.

Thanks again

Is she Monnie Munro, 3 b Scotland, in Clee, Lincs in 1881? RG11/3273/21/36

If so, the family is still in Clee in 1891 (Monnie not with them):RG12/2618/105/45 (just use the ref rather than names to overcome any transcription errors ;))

That's the family - lol take it it's not a common name!

I'll look again for the family when I've got the cash to join ancestry again. Didn't realise my membership ended so soon :(

Thanks for that Anna.

That is certainly the family and that confirms that Isabella was an Urquhart.

I just hope it is *my* Roderick lol, I'm not 100% sure yet until I get their marriage cert
