Tried all over the place can't find it!
NEWBURY c4 miles south of Radstock and c5 miles north west of Frome.
Can anybody tell me which registration district Newbury came under 1837-1974?

There is a map of registration districts at http://homepages.newnet.co.uk/dance/webpjd/intro/regmap.htm
which may help.

It looks like it was in the Superintendent Registrar's District of Frome, and the Registrar's Sub-District of Kilmersdon

My reply crossed with last post so will repeat:-
Excuse my ignorance but what if any is the difference between 'Superintendent Registrar's District' and Frome 'Registration District' as listed by Genuki?
Was already aware Newbury not on Genuki list but Kilmersdon is 1837-1974

A Superintendent Registrar is in charge of the Registration District i.e. Frome, a Deputy Registrar is in charge of a sub-district of the Registration District i.e. Kilmersdon.

Thanks for that but ! am still left with the initial problem!
Any ideas as to which district I would find Newbury?
Because of the close proximity to Frome is it possible it's been missed off?

I am not sure what you mean  ??? Missed of what?
The Village/Hamlet of Newbury appears to be in the sub-district of Kilmersdon in the  Frome Registration District.
