I don't wish to throw a damper on this as you have been very helpful Wizz, but the IGI on familysearch cannot always be taken as gospel. Some records are user submitted and should be taken with a large pinch of salt. Others, such as this one, are actually extracted from parish records.

However they are still transcriptions and errors creep in. Your own transcription of the page has two errors itself, just to prove my point. Firstly this is the date of baptism/christening, not birth. Secondly the father is named as Peter Carrot, not Robert.

Finally, the IGI is nowhere near a complete index of parish records. Although it throws up possibilities, there may be others that are not included in the IGI. Not meaning to pick on anyone, just advising a little caution!

Hello to you all from Hot Australia,
Regarding my ROBERT TOYNE information, perhaps ROBERT was born out of WEDLOCK, which then ANN TORNE would be the MOTHER & PETER CARROTT being FATHER.
I understand Heather what you mean about the IGI is not always correct so can occur errors, any help as to where I can go from here.

Kind Regards to you all :)

Hello
I have part of the same family.  If you  search Freereg, you will find that a Robert Carrat son of Peter and Ann died in 1781.  I have started to untangle thivs family.  My ancestor is Frances the sister of Peter, two of several children of William and Ann (nee possibly Young).  Spelling is variously Carrat, Carrot Carrit etc.
I would be interested to know if you have got any futher since the original post
