Yeeles and Ishmead 1772- Marshfield lookup pleasse
« on: Sunday 10 August 08 14:53 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find the ancestors of Amelia Yeeles born who I believe was the daughter of George and Mary Yeeles born 1797, Marshfield (this is on the basis of the IGI and census) as I am unable  to get to Gloucester Records Office.

Another researcher has told me that George Yeeles married Mary Ishmead on 25 October 1772 in Marshfield.

Does anyone have access to the Marshfield parish records, they do not seem to be on the IGI after 1693, and would be kind enough to give me details of this wedding and any other information which might help - both names are I suspect fairly unusual!

Thank you

Looking through the LDS Library catalogue I noted that one of  their films of the Parish register goes up to 1693 and its data is to be found in an extracted batch in the IGI as you say.

However, the LDS has a few more films of Marshfield records the data from which they have not extracted  - see http://www.familysearch.org/eng/library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?display=topicdetails&subject=410912&subject_disp=England%2C+Gloucester%2C+Marshfield+%2D+Church+records&columns=*,0,0  and the films' notes for details.

Any of the millions of LDS films are available for hire and searching at LDS FHC's - £2.70 for three weeks hire.

If you get no takers, perhaps you should consider a visit to your nearest LDS church.

Regards

Chas
