A lot of christenings happend at Binstead in Hampshire.
Up til now I have not heard of any of my families being in Cornwall, Devon or Somerset way. Not impossible But in Hampshire Yes.
They also were great Hop picking and fruit picking enthusiasts, hence my photo. LOL. So they were often in Kent and Sussex.
The further I have gone back in time family members were born all over the place as they were ont he road more.
But at the end of the 19th century (late 1800's) they settled down. My lot ended up in Croydon, Wilford, Forster and St Saviours Road, commonly known as Bangole until the war (1939 to 1945.)
A lot of the Cooper family ended up there as well.
If you go through the census pages from 1871 to 1901 for the roads mentioned you will find that the same families lived there, be it they moved from house to house as their families multiplied. You will find Mills, Coopers, Loveridge, Lock , Smith
Penfold and many many more well known gypsy based family names. The other area involved was Fountain Road , Half acre cottages in Mitcham.
I have taken note your Coopers and Mills names and give me afew days and I will see what I can come up with.
