Hi rcuser
Many thanks for your reply.
I am researching ancestors of Aaron Rossiter's 3xgreat granddaughter Enid Rossiter. The line from her to him is:
Her father Edward Ernest Nangrave Rossiter, born 1908, Islington, London; married Doris Fricker.
His father, Edward Nangrave Rossiter, born Hoxton, London; married Kate Lambourn 1907, Hoxton, London
His father, Edward Nangrave Rossiter, born 1854, Clerkenwell, London; married Maria Louisa Tillett/Tillott, 1874, St Luke's, London
His father, and Aaron's son, Henry William Rossiter, baptised 1830, St Philip & St Jacob, Bristol; married Eleanor Adelaide Kent, 1851, Bow, London City
They all appear to have worked in brushmaking in various capacities. Relevant census entries are:
1901: RG13/276/55/7
1891: no trace
1881: RG11/397/13/20-21
1871: no trace
1861: RG9/197/89/42
1851: HO107/1520/91/13
1841: JO107/377/15/46
I am fascinated about Aaron's marriages and that he emigrated. It would be good to know your sources for this. I have no idea, at this point, where the middle 'Nangrave' came from. It seems to have appeared first with Aaron's grandson, and doesn't seem to be linked to a marriage.
Best wishes
