yes you can use it on your Mac - but you can't share it with anyone on a PC.  I was wondering if there is one which is being produced which is able to be used by PC users - but as this thread is specifically about Macs, it is probably the wrong place to ask!!!   ;D ;D

I bought mine online and download online- paid online - didn't ever get a box with it in!!!

I also am in Australia and now is a very good time to order as our dollar is almost at parity with US dollars!   When I bought, it was $99US = $159 AUD  that was a couple of years ago - I don't know what the price is now - but just Google Reunion and you'll get the lot! - including how to order/download/pay etc.

sorry for long link - don't know how to make it shorter - but try this!   Looks like it is about $152 at the moment - ( the price fades to insignificance when you think how much we are willing to spend buying certificates etc!!  ;D  )

If anyone is thinking about buying FTM for Mac just to let you know the latest update still hasn't fixed some of the problems with it.
The irritating hint leaves are still impossible to remove even when you've checked all the hints.
So it may be perhaps worth waiting until the teething troubles are sorted ::).

I found a copy of Reunion 9 on Amazon.com from a private seller for $79. It's on its way here and comes with the box and all registration papers.

Just about to order Reunion, as I haven't had time to "play" with it. I know there was a reputable dealer someone told me about who used to have an advert on Amazon when you searched for Reunion software (couldn't order it through Amazon) Does anyopne know who it was, please ?

Hi. I can’t see any posts here after 2011 but thought I’d see if anyone is still watching. A Mac technical thread would be very useful. When I have a problem I think I’ve found the solution somewhere only to then realise the fix only works for windows.
I’m using a MacBook Pro which I love with FTM 2017. I do have Reunion as well but stopped using it.  That is because, by the time I found it I already had over 1000 people in a tree created in Ancestry. I could download a GEDCOM to Reunion but couldn’t get all my sources and images properly.
I’m thinking of returning to Reunion though for the Charting facility.

Hello

I am a Mac User - never had a PC - started with GEDITCOM... a long time back. My wife bought me Reunion 10 years ago and I have never wanted anything else.

If you have a problem with your Mac please explain it including the Model / Year and Operating system. It would be helpful to know how much memory you have too.

If you have a problem with Reunion - have you contacted Support at LeisterPro.com? They have always been very helpful to me. I have version 12.0 and 3500+ on one of my files, photos and everything.

If there is something specific that is a problem explain and Ill help if i can. I am also sometimes found on Apples Fora... being an Apple/Mac User since 1977 and after a long line of different hardware Im happy to helpif I can.

So where is your problem - By the way I have to say I haven't and won't use Ancestry! Another problem!

Hi Colin

Thanks for that. I'm using a MacBook Pro 13" (late 2011), Version 10.13.6. 8GB Memory. It apparently is vintage and I can't update to Mojave. I'm thinking of replacing it now but putting it off while I decide if I'd be better off with a desktop.. doing FH on 13" screen is sometimes hard. But it's great normally and I won't go back to a PC/Windows laptop.

I have Reunion, bought a couple of years ago. But, I already had about 1000 people in an Ancestry tree then and the transfer was a mess so I stuck with FTM.

Now I'm going back to Reunion because it is basically a much better programme. I will just have to concentrate harder on sorting the issues. I did ask the tech people for help but they couldn't sort it either!

So I have now upgraded to Reunion 12 and deleted the old tree. To move all my data in again, they suggest (in a post I found) using FTM version 3 for Mac and then import as a GEDCOM. I am confused about that as I have FTM 2017. I can see in the EXPORT option that I can export to version 3. Also FTM 16. I don't quite understand. Do you think I need to use version 3 specifically or will FTM 2017 work? Don't worry if you don't know. I can put a message on a reunion forum. I could do a trial run but my experience of doing that is sometime I end up with messy files which don't get deleted properly and then confuse me!

Would be good to have a Mac/Reunion forum here.
