Cathayb, couldnt get on yesterday as had a lot to do,earn a bit of money being one thing,im free today so should be able to post a bit.Ive been in touch with someone on GenesReunited who has Goldsmith relatives in Sussex,no obvious link to mine as yet,big family but very settled in one town.(hailsham).Whats intresting is his Thomas Goldsmiths mother, she was Mary Elphick b1822 ,warnham, sussex, her parents were Thomas Elphick b1798 and Mary Penfold b1799,sussex.Marys parents were William Penfold b1777 sussex and Sarah Muggeridge b1778 sussex. What do you think?I notice your looking for Penfolds,so this may be of some use.regards.

I think this is Plato Taylor's marriage -

Plato Taylor December 1848 Tonbridge Vol 5 Page 697
The only bride listed with a version of the name Elizabeth is "Bet Webb"

Christopher, son of Jeremiah and Augusta?

Christopher Taylor 37 Chair Caner Wandsworth
Sarah 33 Laundress Chelsea
