i gotta try and answer this.i think i have lost the plot somewhere!!!convict joseph kefford know idea of dates  but i imagine he was born 1840s to 50s but could be completly wrong.it was tasmania he was sent so i am told.but there are keffords and smiths in aussie now.trouble is i dont know where at the moment.one is called old granny kefford and is supposed to be quite well known.    looking at the past post of mar this year.i didnt know robert hughes mum was with the penfolds.i will have to take a look.   emily ball to william richard kefford.thats a new one on me.i wonder who he is and whether he is one of joes brothers. i think maybe we need to start looking for them in the cencuses.smith/williams in wycombe?i dont know.i will go look.  i would rather like smith/taylor  or smith blackwell in any area.

There's a William James aged 72 c1779 in Great Marlow Bucks in 1851 with daughter 'C' aged 23.
Next door is James Birch (b Uxbridge, Middx) aged 34 c1817 with wife and 5 children.

Unfortunately, it only gives an initial for first names.....  :-\
