Cathay. I find the place/reg district first, then go to Freebmd to find a match... after selecting the district, on the top right hand side.

with so many rose smiths i think its going be difficult to track her down dont you.if we could find if and where some of her siblings were baptised perhaps we would find they used the same church for alot of them. what do you think and how about a death for edwaRD OR WHATEVER HE HAD DECICED TO CALL HIMSELF BY CAUSE EMMA MARRIED kefford in 1898.how could they bury rose when they did without a birth cert?or didnt they need one back then?

On Freebmd you can narrow it down.

Put in the dates.. 3 years only.  :D

Then you have Hounslow info which says Staines, Uxbridge and Brentford at that time.

There are no shows in Uxbridge.
and only 1 in each of the others.

Didn't you say her mother was in Windsor?
Are these yours? :-\

RG12/1273 Folio 126 Page 6
Building Ground, Caravan, Hibbert Street, Luton, Beds

Albert Smith 35 Traveling Showman Bucks Stewkeley
Emma 34 Bucks Windsor
Teddy 13 Oxford Abbington
Albert 10 Surrey Kingston
"Rossie" 1 Middlesex Hounslow

They seem to match the 1881 census found by Jamajo and the "relatives" living with Joe and Emma Kefford in 1901 census...

Well done Cat for finding this.

so albert/edward is a travelling showman?we think he died before 1898 as emma married kefford.if he was a travelling showman they could have had her baptised or registered about anywhere couldnt they?i will have alook on paulines fairgroud site and see what i can see.i will also try the name rosina.she says she was 15 in 1901,that would make her born 1886.i wonder if she was only 1 in 1891.why couldnt they count?i bet they counted their money alright!!!!
