Hello

I list below the surnames I am researching in Lincolnshire. Love to hear from anyone also researching these names & who may be related.

PALING/PALIN/PAYLING etc

I am conducting a genetic genealogy study of people with those surnames.

Anyone got Cockett in their family history?  The first appearance in my tree was in 1710 in Carlton le Moorland, which I think is near Nottinghamshire.  From there they moved to Weston, Lincs and then to Holbeach.  One branch then took off to Gainsborough and my line went to Manchester.

I know this is an old thread ... but I am also researching ALLCOCK in Lincolnshire.

John Ephraim Allcock (who married Elizabeth Seamer in 1849) came to South Australia in 1855 from Long Sutton, Lincolnshire.  For some reason, he is known in Australia as Ephraim ALCOCK, and Elizabeth's maiden name is listed as Seymour.

Apparently John Ephraim Allcock's father's name is also John Ephraim Allcock ... but I cannot find any information about him.

Hi,

I am interested in the Paling's (my maiden name is Paling)

I have done a lot of research on them for the Nottingham and surrounding area of Lincolnshire.

Let me know if you require any information

Hi Brenda
I think we might have been in touch before concerning Brackenbury/Brackenborough ancestors. My ancestor is William Brackenbury Truman who was the illegitimate son of Rebecca Brackenbury. He was born in1811 at Revesby but was chr.at Miningsby. He moved to Upwell Norfolk where he married Sarah Eaglestone in 1835.His father`s name could well have been Truman and perhaps he came from the Upwell area.Rebecca Brackenbury could have been born 1786 at Hammeringham and her parents could have been John Brackenbury and Susana Albones m.1786.I was also looking at a William Blanchard b.1786,Guyhirn and wife Mary b.1807 Outwell,Norfolk, and a William Kay b.1811,Outwell and son Richard b.1840,Upwell who moved to Lincolnshire.I cannot remember what connection they might have had with the Trumans and Brackenbury.Sometimes lines of enquiry get so complicated that it is easy to lose the plot!
Morgan in London.Brimmell in Gloucester.Truman in London and Norfolk.Spratt in London,Stroud,and U.S.A.Berriman in London,Cornwall,and Australia.Steer in London.Blackburn in Essex.
