Hello Adam.

Would the Ellis inscriptions include a William Ellis?

Or the Hardy inscriptions a Thomas Hardy?

Thank you,
Laurie

Hello Laurie. And here is the  inscription for Ellis at Crook.

In loving memory of William Ellis, who died October/7/1927 aged 74 years.
Also Margaret, his beloved wife, who died January/6/1924 aged 72 years.

A couple for Hardy to follow.

Hello Laurie. I don not know what years you are looking for regarding the Hardy family.
There are three from the catholic church at Crook. One stone 1940 's.
There are also  another two but they are 1960's and 2000 with one of the ages given as 96 years.
Let me know if they wanted.

Hi Adam. Thanks for looking, but these are far too recent, and I believe all the family were Methodists. My Thomas Hardy died in the 1860s or 1870s, but he's a tough one to find as it's not an uncommon name and he moved around quite a bit.

Thanks again,
Laurie

Hello again. Do you know the name of Thomas Hardy's wife or the name of any of his children?
