Hi Mareanna
good to hear form you. I was on ancestry and found the Joseph Knight that sailed in Jan 1906. where did it say the occupation of Butcher I read it as Farm labour, the destination was Brandon, MB which is Northwest  a couple of hours. so that is close. He is coming from Middlesex county though. Maybe I am reading the wrong one.

Hi Mareanna
I hate to be a bother but I have searched Ancestory.com and cannot find that listing, I have looked at all listing for the ship Lake Manitoba for 1906 and they do not show the Joseph Knight as a butcher. What is FMYP? Can you help me out?

Thanks
Greg

Hi Arnie

It's no bother - below is an extract of the text from the subscription site Find My Past.  Only they have the ship emigration from 1890, A* does not have this - they have immigration to the UK.

Name: Joseph KNIGHT
Date of departure: 29 January 1906
Port of departure: Liverpool
Destination port: Saint John NB
Destination country: Canada
Date of Birth: 1877 (calculated from age)
Age: 29
Marital Status: Single
Sex: Male
Occupation: Butcher
Ship: LAKE MANITOBA
Master's name: James A Murray
Where bound: Saint John NB, Canada

Hope this helps  :P

Hi
I am related to the Plumbs of Lambley and I'm sure Millicent fits in somewhere with my relatives.....Looking on this thread I see mentioned Samuel Plumb married to a Mary Green.....On my chart I have a Samuel Plumb(1793-1866) married to an Elizabeth Green who lived Green Lane Lambley.
Also someone mentioned a Noah Plumb.....I have a Noah Plumb married to Hannah Holmes.....Noah was the son of John Plumb and Hannah brandiff....John was the brother of Samuel (mentioned above).....Noah had a daughter Millicent b:1878............just trying to work out where Thomas Bonser and Millicent fit in with my family?

NFHS has Millicent Plumb, d/o Saml and Mary, christened on 13 April 1823 at Holy Trinity Church, Lambley.  There must be two Samuel Plumbs living in Lambley – there are two families with Mary and Elizabeth as the mothers, with children from 1814 to 1831.  The children of Samuel and Mary are (christening years in brackets): Pamela (1815), Sarah (1817,) Samuel (1820,) Millicent (1823), Sally (1827) and James (1830).

There is a tree on A* that has Samuel (1793 - 1866) re-marrying an Elizabeth Arnsby in 1838 and has provided an exact date, but no certificate

Hope this helps  ::)

I believe that I am a direct descendant of Thomas and Millicent.  My great-grandfather was John Bonser, Sexton at Stanton Road Cemetery.  I'm confused about the birth date of Millicent (1823) as from the information that I have she would have been 3 years younger than her mother-in-law!  I have Thomas Bonser and Harriet ? as Thomas's parents and Thomas and Sarah Manfield as his grand-parents.  Does this agree with your information?  I can confirm that there are still descendants of Bonser living in Ilkeston but, sadly, they do not have any family history information.
