Hi Loopster
It would appear that your grandfather George (born 1913ish?) in Parkgate is my grandfathers brother.

Stevenson,
I know 'The Entry' in Doagh very well.
I had family live there for many years.
The church is indeed Methodist.
The Hall next door to it is not the Masonic Hall though. Its the Orange Hall.

Welcome to Roots Craig
A lovely rootschatter took pictures of the area for me and my sister and I managed a trip to the area a few years ago.
It would now appear that you and Loopster are related to us...... as our mother was niece to one of Georges brothers.
I am so excited...bounce bounce

A couple of websites that might interest those researching family around Doagh.
www.doaghancestry.co.uk
www.southantrimlivingmemories.co.uk
Through my family history research, I was able to contact living relatives from the Ballyclare and Doagh area. A trip, from Australia, last year enabled me to vist Doagh and meet these lovely kinfolk.
Cheers, Valsgirl
