Looking for full register entry for a marriage found in IGI - William SELLS and Elizabeth GARRETT, 03 Aug 1835 at All Souls, Saint Marylebone.
I particularly want to know the parish of residence of each party.
Thank you.

Can't help with parish of residence at the time of marriage, but this seems to be them in 1851 -

HO107/1486 Folio 329 Page 37
11 Cleveland Street, All Souls, Marylebone

Willm Sells 45 Butcher employing 2 men Herts Hemel Hempstead
Elizth 44 Bucks
Willm 13 Marylebone
A T son 8 Scholar Marylebone
Sophia Garrett 30 visitor Dressmaker Bucks
+ servant James Payne 24 Herts Watford

In 1861, sister? Sophia's birthplace is Edlesborough, Bucks, and she is living with her sisters Ruth and Maria, also born Edlesborough.

Don't know if this helps track the William and Elizabeth further back....

Regards
Cat  :)

Wow, what a speedy response!  Thank you, Cat.

These are certainly the right people, but I would still like the full PR entry.  I've not been able to establish who Elizabeth's parents were (though speculate they were William Garrett and Mary Reading of Well Farm, Dagnell in the parish of Edlesborough and thus her sisters were Sophia, Ruth and Maria, all born at Dagnall), so any clues may be helpful.  I'd found Elizabeth in 1851 and 1861 census only (she died in 1870) and these show her birthplace only as Bucks and England respectively.  There were also Garretts of the same family as William living at Hudnall in the parish of Edlesborough.  Plenty of scope for jumpng to the wrong conclusion!

I'm currently doing look-ups at the London Metropolitan Archives where the registers have been deposited.

I'm going w/c 4th August but my look-up list is already full. However, you've given the exact dates so I should be able to squeeze this one in unless the IGI is wrong  ;)

I'll let you know.

Dawn,

Please accept my apologies.  Although I have been looking out for a reply I did not see it until today, when I had notification of the topic being moved.

Thank you very much for the information, which is indeed helpful

Regards.
