Mary Sellars

Looking for info on Mary Sellars is supposed to been born in Rhine Germany 1851. Have all her Australian history but cannot find out how she arrived in Australia or wether she came directly from Germany, England or other country.
One source says she might have been born at sea but I do not have details of this rumour.  Marriage certificates etc have parents unknown.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

When approximately did she come to Australia and where in Australia did she live?
Although it's not impossible that she came alone, young woman who emigrated usually came in the company of or to join relatives (or her future husband).

I think finding her arrival into Australia will be the key. Possibly you could look for an infant by the name of Sellars arriving around 1851/2?

wE LOOKED FOR IMMIGRANTS.  IT IS ALTHOUGHSHE JUST APPEARED? SHE WAS MARRIED IN 1869 IN SYDNEY BUT THE MARRIAGE CERT IS BLANK ON PARENTS DEATH CERT PARENTS UNKNOWN? DIED IN SYDNEY 1896. SHE MARRIED WILLIAM JOSEPH ROSE.  SHE IS MY GR GR GRANDMOTHER

hER OCCUPATION ON THE MARRIAGE CERT WAS DRESSMAKER.  IF SHE WAS A SERVANT SHE MAY HAVE ARRIVED BUT NOT MENTIONED ON ANY PAPERWORK, THAT IS WHAT WE ARE THINKING ANYWAY
