Hi Neil,

haven't been able to do much for the past few days as the computer is throwing a fit and won't start up - and when it does it crashes again. Hopefully getting my new one tomorrow.

The Parkers are very confusing and it's hard to work out who is brother / sister to who. I am not sure if my Henry born 1848 is the son of your Mark, so I will have to do a bit more digging.
I have seen a tree that shows the following.
Marriage Mark Parker to Sarah Wilson 28 APR 1849  Ash, Surrey, England - this is on IGI.

Parents of Mark - Mark Parker born 1787 Buckland surrey. Elizabeth born 1797 Buckland surrey.

Children of Mark and Elizabeth are shown as Mark B 1851, James Born 1857, Job, B 1858, Andrew B 1866.

Not sure if this is correct but thought it might help.

Regards,

Jim

Jim

i wouldnt take any notice fo the Buckland connection, i have seen the complete parish transcripts and there is notihng in there about mark and Elizabeth

Elizabeth did not know where she was born in the 1851 census taken in Frimley

you are correct with Mark and Sarahs children, they also had a daughter called Matilda, she married Samson Hoadley and shows up travelling alongside other Parkers in Washington rd Cheam in 1881 and in Woking in later census returns

their son Frederick, born Colnbrook 1851 Colnbrook near Hayes Middlesex was my Paternal Great Grand Father

if you would like some fo the records i will happily email them to you if you let me have your address

regards

Neil

Thanks Neil,

I will send you a PM with my email addy.

A Question for you or anyone else. The IGI information - is it reliable? My gr/gr grandads marriage is on there for 1870.

Henry Parker to Videtta Lambert and it shows his father as Mark. Now is this info coming from actual records or from someone's tree?

Hi Neil,

just looking at your earlier posting on this thread and you said
.................................................................................................................
"I have Henry Bowers marrying my Great Aunt Mary Ann Parker in 1901
Henry was born in Pyrford 1880, May Ann in Leatherhead in 1880"
................................................................................................................

Looking at other trees on Ancestry they suggest that Henry Bowers is the son of either Robert Bowers and Margeret or John Bowers and Rhoda - I am not sure which is correct.
In either case Henry would be the grandson of William Walker Bowers and Maria Myra James.

So we also have My Henry Parker Married to Viletta Bowers daughter of William Walker Bowers and Maria Myra James. Another family link I think.

What do you think.

Hi Neil,

I have just read your threads about the Parkers and would love to have a copy of the Parker tree you have painstakingly compiled - are you able to email it?

I am not from the Parker line, but have just started researching for my friend, who is the Grandaughter of Amy Parker circa 1893, born to Frederick Parker 1855, Surrey.

Do you have any photos of the Parkers?

Anything you can share would be gratefully received.

Debra

I am doing the Parker family tree Mark Parker born abt 1842 married Alice Ayres and had 12 children
Matilda, Mark, John, Elizabeth, Leonard, Maryann, William, Sarah, Louisa, Dela, Alice, and Frederick
Matilda owned a public house and cottages in Wimbledon and Maryann owned a public house in Epsom but l cannot find either one on any census nor can l find anything about the other girls once they had left home. Mark senior was a licenced hawker and bought horses from the Russian boats l think in Kingston my grandfather Frederick left the Romany way of life and moved to Carshalton but the rest of the family stayed around the Cheam area any help would be appreciated as my father is elderly and would like to know more about his family ???
