Hi Bash,

In 'membership related settings', type in the new name in the field called Name, then enter your password and hit 'change profile'

Hmmm, strange - it works for me.

Then it may be because your new name is already used by someone. Is 'name' written in red after you've clicked on 'change profile'?  :)

Hi Bash,

Here is a Thread on Changing your user name.

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,238176.0.html

I suspect the problem you are experiencing is that the name you wish to use is already in use by another member. The name you chose needs to be a unique name. You will need to select another name or you may find it will work if you make a minor change to the name you wish to use, such as using a _ to separate the words or using a . or placing a number after the name for example.

Good Luck.............Kris  :D

just noticed that when i have changed it my name doesnt go red but the word "name" does. is that because someone else has the name or another reason
