I think it's great that some districts have published booklets or volumes on early settlers. Know that many historical societies interview older / long term residents to gather memories of their earlier years for the archives.

Hi Mare,

I agree with you about districts publishing information about the settlers.   Can't complain about my Hunua book, has a lot of information, especially the page with the early access and subdivision, showing the lot numbers of the land our descendants purchased and what year, the school years they attended.
