Hi therem really interested in finding out the SLEE names - i am researching the men from Holsworthy in devon who died in WWI.  Amongst them was a HERBERT NORTHCOTT SLEE who died on 26 Dec 1917 at Calville cottages.  Could the grave in 'your' list possibly be him?

regards  Shawn

Hello Shawn. Here is the inscription from Howden le Wear:-

In loving memory of Elizabeth, beloved wife of George Slee, who died July/19/1920 aged 76 years.

There is another for Slee at Etherley around 1881.
If you want that inscription you will need to request it on the Etherley thread.
