The Ernest Baynes 1860 was my mother in law's grandfather, he moved to Poplar in London where he married had a son and was employed as a police officer, but went home to Chrishall where he died in 1891. His widow Mary re-married and moved to Hebburn Tyne and Wear where his son Alexander William Baynes, known as William, can be found on the 1911 census.
