Marriage records Glasgow

Help needed Can anyone tell me how to find a marriage record for a marriage that took place in Possilpark district of Glasgow in 1935/6. Even Ancestry only goes to 1932!! Can't find a registration office with on line index search either? How do I request a marriage cert. First forray in to Scottish records. You can tell can't you??? Thanks anyone who can help
Please note both parties are deceased. I'm trying to help a friend get started and thought it would be as easy as English records. Not so If anyone knows how to access indexes the names are Aldo Gino Martino CORTOPASSI and Ann SMITH we think at Possilpark around 1935/6 The eldest child was born 1937

If you can get it a wee bit further back then it gets easier.  Scotlandspeople site is excellent, some people think expensive.  I don't think it is but you need to be careful how you spend credits.

Hi ramsayjohn,
The first two records say Eastwood.
There are 2 Eastwood cemeteries Eastwood old and Eastwood New.
The Glasgow city boundary runs between both.
Eastwood old is on Thornliebank Rd which is in Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Eastwood New( a 5 min walk away) which is around the corner from Thornliebank railway station is in Thornliebank which is Renfrewshire,

Why are you looking for the recent marriage?  Is your pal looking for ancestors or living relatives?

My friend is looking for the recent marriage (1935/6) because that is all she is sure of. She has her own birth cert and is only just starting. Hence the parents marriage. She knows that they were born in Scotland and has been told that her grandfather ( Cortopassai) was an Italian migrant. She doesn't know anything else. From the marriage cert she will get her two grandfather's names and the name of her grandmother. She tried starting at the Italian end but I told her that she should start with what she knows, not what she thinks. Thanks for the info but it looks too early

Isn't it very likely that Aldo b1912 is your friends ancestor? He'd be the correct age to have been married in 35/36.
Not too many Cortopassi's in Scotland.

Am I stating the obvious....there are a few folk on GR with that family.  If you or your friend aren't members, I'd be happy to contact them for you.
