Moira what is a vertical mouse? I've not heard of it does it stand on it's back legs ;)

Adrian

As an orthopaedic nurse for many years, I was intrigued, so off I went....

Hi Moira and Poll

Thanks for the ideas  ;D

My wrist and fingers are fine (so far   ???)

OH bought me a wrist support thingie last year, but I couldn't get on with it .. may give it another go, although now I've moved the mouse mat my arm"s definitely not so uncomfortable  ::)  ::)

The only problem is that I keep hitting the keyboard with the mouse  :o  ;D  :o

Rachel

PS ... when I started using the computer, I was getting cramp and all sorts of aches in my hand and wrist ... the mouse was too wide for me (a cordless one).
Problem solved ... I have OH's wired mouse from his laptop ... it's small and lightweight  :D  :D

Hi Polldoll,

I have a mouse mat with a wrist support on it and it helps to a certain extent. It is also important to have a good chair which you can be adjusted to suit the individual. Also remember to take a break at least every 2 hours.

Moira what is a vertical mouse? I've not heard of it does it stand on it's back legs ;)

I've just Googled "Vertical Mouse" and it seems to be a good idea, if you trust the writeup.
However as already stated they do not come cheap!  The Jury is out!!

;D Well the latest experiment is to use the wrist support thingie  :o
+ two extra mouse mats  ::)  ;D  :P

It's a Fellowes Geometrix gel wrist and mouse pad ....

The mouse pad doesn't give me enough room to manoeuvre, so I've stuck 2 ordinary mouse mats together (side by side) and put them on top of it.

This seemed like a good idea but now the mouse hits the keyboard with its head and the wrist rest with its bottom  ;D

Rachel  :)

;D  :o New strategy and FABULOUS new invention  :D

Step stool + some large, thick books on top + an unused kitchen cupboard door

Yaaaayyyyyyyyy  ;D  ;D  ;D .... I can rest my elbow and forearm on this very comfortably and my mouse hand and wrist feel so relaxed

Rachel  ;)
