Hi many thanks for them pics, least i can picture were he is now..hopefully coming up to scotland in august, so will try get alift to cemeteries, only luck ive had so far is my great grandfathers , i recieved his lair with numbers and names buried in it etc.. so will get pic of that while im up there too hopefully, thanks again..Rob

Is you gt. grandfather in Old Monkand also?

If so, I can send you a map showing the layout of all the Sections. It doesn't show where each Lair/Plot is but it would help you to figure out where you were going now that you know the size of the place.

Hi Anne that map is brill, shows were he is , if he is a common grave, i think its a bit harsh being killed at work, and having a common funeral, his son Robert b1853-d1889 died in drumpark fever hospital of typhoid, wonder were they buried him then, does not mention anything on his death cert, , my great grand father is Roberts 1889 son who died in 1960,he is buried in kilmarnock hes the one i have the lair document for,
