Black has Flucker being of Frisian origin as early as 1275,with a John ffloker. Dundee's Nethergate was originally the Fluckergate. I've always found the east coast frisian anyhow ;D

I had rellies in Newhaven at a later date from Shetland, living at the Newhaven Fort which is a bit of a mystery?

Bests,
Skoosh.

An excellent book, "Scotland and the Flemish People!" by Alexander Fleming & Roger Mason. pub' Birlinn.
Flemish settlers influenced Scotland considerably.

Thanks for the advice about the article on William Lisbon’s trial for assault of Ann Seaton nee Flucker. I have obtained a copy which makes for interesting reading

I too decend from the same Flucker line. Henrietta Seton and David Flucker were my 3rd G Grandparents. David's father was Thomas Flucker b.1760-1858 m Agnes Christie b.1762. Thomas's father was David Flucker b. 1762 m Agnes Main b.1733. Luckily my search was made easier by my Grandmother passing on family names.
