Not as far as I know. The Jones line from Wallasey starts with John Jones, who was born in Wallasey c1742 and married a Margaret. His son was Samuel Jones, born c1768 Wallasey who married Ester. Samuel and Ester had a daughter Mary (1799-1869) who married Aaron Whitby, who was born 1805, possibly in Tarvin. They married in St Oswalds Church, Chester.

Aaron and Mary are my 5x great grandparents.

I have been looking through Sit
http://surname.rootschat.com/ and have noticed that most just Give the surname then counties( i might be guilty as well :-\)  would it be better if we put say, one name from our tree like Garner James B 1872 Staffs then you might find someone has that Garner on their tree. Just an thought ::)

I completely disagree Celia.  If there is full name in the SIT, if it is not on my tree I ignore it.  On the other hand if there is a surname and county I will make contact.  Looking back on my successful contacts I wouldn't have made any of them if the person concerned had posted their immediate ancestor.

The alternative of going as far back as possible is equally frought because the other person may not have got back that far.

Surname, county and location with a date range is far better every time.

Since I got a new computer with Vista I've had to re-register, because Rootschat said I didn't exist.  And I simply haven't got round to redoing my names - lazy perhaps, but I was so fed up.
