I think one of the problems is the 'invisibility' of SIT to many members. It's like the Lexicon. They seem to be hidden away. I'm not sure if there is a way to draw it to people's attention but perhaps threads like this might help - well done, celia.

Spurred on by this thread I've just had a look at my surnames on the SIT, and the "place" and "comments" are blank. Glitch perhaps?

The SIT is a great idea, and I know I've commented before about it being hidden at the bottom of the page - I still think it should be in a box at the top of the page somewhere ....

I've contacted a couple of people with the same surnames, but no matches with those who replied (some did not reply  ). A couple have contacted me but no luck there either.

The country/county menu is optional.

You can add names without using this feature, but I will add France and Russia to the list, as it is useful to have the country in the first column of the results:

Not that I know of   Are you sure you entered them ? 
And if you are sure you did, why didn't you tell me then, that there was something wrong
